Please accept this letter as my personal letter of recommendation for Dan Youngquist , doing business as D and D Services, Inc.  As a small business owner leasing condominiums, I was gathering bids for a kitchen and bathroom remodel in one of my properties.  

I’d received a mailer from a larger Handyman Connection company.  The Handyman came to the property with countertop samples but never followed through with a written estimate.  I’ve still never received a follow-up call or estimate from him.  From my experience this lack of follow through, enthusiasm and basic unreliability is common in the contractor world.  When my son-in-law heard of my remodel plans and the frustration I was beginning to feel in finding a dependable contractor he referred me to D and D Services, Inc.

D and D were prompt to come out to discuss the remodel ideas, from new countertops, sinks, faucets, shower door, light fixtures to interior painting.  Within a couple of days I received a complete and detailed written estimate via email.  Their price was competitive, all inclusive winning my business. 

Their work is impeccable and to a small business owner their philosophy that “no job is too small” is crucial to keeping my properties in good working order.  While replacing a kitchen sink a clog was discovered and fixed without discussion or calling in a plumber.  Again, I haven’t often found contractor’s with this stellar work ethic.  To me, this work ethic alone has solidified D and D as my first contact for any work need in my rental and personal properties.

D and D are currently working on improvements in my personal residence.  I paint a broad stroke of an idea and with their experience and design sense they come up with suggestions and do the leg work to find the product needed to complete the job. They communicate well with me, as the client, and are sincere in their quest to satisfy and exceed my expectations.  Dan is very approachable and extremely open to any thoughts or concerns I may have during the remodel process. Again, that’s a direct reflection of their dedication and work ethic. This is definitely what makes D and D stand out in the industry.  

One of Dan’s specialties is wood working.  A future project will be making an oak back and shelf for an entertainment cabinet.  From prior experience with Dan I have confidence that his work will maintain the integrity and compliment the existing oak cabinet.

I am currently compiling a list of improvements for Dan  in another rental property.
